In January, the county health department ran a flu shot clinic and said they would not make patients pay any money, but they wanted our insurance cards so that they could charge our insurance companies, if we had insurance. (It was free if we did not.) In May, I received an explanation of benefits from the insurance company. It says: 1. The provider was the county medical center, not the county health department. I assume the county health department organized it, but the medical center actually provided the "treatment". 2. The place of service was "office". This is totally wrong. The clinic was in the fieldhouse of a local park. Do I need to tell the insurance company any of this? Or does it not really matter?
