Open Question: Need help ASAP. Work mans comp. and the ER??? Important!?

Ok, well this is for my dad.... Here the basic, ill have more detail under just in case its important. He probably shopuld go to the ER tonight but we dont know if work mans comp. will cover it or if insurance will, or if we'll need to pay for all the bills???? Deitails.... He hurt his arm, most likely tore the ligament attached to the bicept but we are not 100% sure since work mans comp. wants to wait for up to 2 weeks to let him get an MRI. His arm is swollen from the shoulder down to the hand and is getting blacker everyday. Today it got really bad and ice wont take any swelling away. We called a nurse that is in our family for advise, and she said to go to the ER asap. He has a risk of getting blood poisoning and his body isnt healing itself, it keeps getting worse. Will work mans comp. cover this, or reimburse us if we go? Or will we have to pay for everything. According to a work mans comp paper insurance will no longer cover anything because dad turned it in to work mans comp. Is this correct? I dont know if it makes a difference with anything, work mans. comp is nation wide and the insurance we have is Aflac for us and Blue Cross Blue Shield which his company provides and we live in the state of Missouri if the regulations are different state to state
