Open Question: Reapplying for Medicaid?

Hi there. So, I currently receive Medicaid and it's supposed to last only six months so it will run out in August. Basically, when should I reapply to see if I'm eligible to continue with Medicaid? Or will it automatically renew itself? I'd just like to know ahead of time so I can plan what I will do insurance wise for me & my baby when he arrives in June! Thank you :D
