Im an employee at a major electronics store. My car got stolen in the parking of the store I work in. Ive noticed it gone when my shift ended. I asked LP in my store if i can view the tape and they said to file a police report first and then they will show it. I went home first because I didnt know my License plate number so I got the pink slip there and then reported it stolen. The cop said he was going to go to the store and talk to LP after i gave him all the Info of the car. The cop left my house first and 3 mins later I followed. When i arrived at the store the cop wasnt there. So i went to LP office and asked if the cop came and they said yes he did. Then i asked if i can see the footage and they said that i cant see it because its all blurred and they couldnt tell if the car was there or not. They said i parked to far. These people make all employees park on specific parts of the parking lot if not youll get a write up. I think there lying about something. Years ago when i took there orientation class they showed us how LP works the camera on thieves in or out of the store. They showed footage on a suspicious person who walked out of the store to his car and drove off across the street and then came back to the store. It was much much further distance than where my car was and it was clear from blurrs. That footage was in like 2005- 06. Now were in 2010 and you cant tell me technology is bad. Can i file a claim here?
