Open Question: How is an online health insurance plan different from a normal plan?

I am looking for a health insurance plan, and I came across this term while surfing the net… please let me know if there is any difference in the price or the way you use an online plan and a regular plan. Is there any difference in the benefits in the plans or any other difference? Since I am working I don’t have time to meet agents and that’s why I wanted to know the difference between them... please let me know asap.
