ok ive done some critical thnking, and after some ups and downs, i finally have the attitude to keep a bird. sadly, i must get straight A's and earn half the money, my dad will say yes even if i dont get straight A's soo yea. anyways, i have decided to get a blue parakeet, i couldnt decide from a rare parakeet to a blue, i decided blue cause its easier to tell the age, cause the rare ones are white with blue for the body. i could just do the eye techniqe but IDK yet. well right now, i have until may 26 to get everything ready. i have to re-model my room a little bit for the cage to fit, cause i AM NOT getting one of those tiny cages that barely qualifys as a budgie cage. im spending my money, time to buy a good one. i went to petsmart today and i saw this cage which i really liked, i couldnt look at all of them cause my mom was rushing us, surprisingly my dad was like "how about this cage?" i think he is excited about me getting a parakeet!!! anyways this is the cage i am kinda leaning towards to: http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2753639 i mean im not positive but...im thinking about it. if there is any other cage at PETSMART better than this but cheaper than 100$ then please tell me. if it tops 100$ by a little then thats ok. i was thinking of the hagen cage II but they didnt have that at my petsmart, they only had the hagen vision model S01 and i think that is way too small, right? if its not then i might get that. other thing what is the HEALTHIEST parakeet feed out there in PETSMART, yes i get everything from petsmart.?? healthiest feed? and at what age is it considered to be old/hard to train cause its old? and about the bar on the head thing, what IF the bands are covering the top of the head but does not go down all the way to the cere, does it still mean its older than 3-4 months? and if its 3-4 months old then is it too old? and sadly i am unable to get my budgie from an avian breeder...so do not tell me. and..... if i put it in my room, will it smell? i plan on putting it on the ground or on my tea table, which i never use except for putting my glasses there at night..lol. i do plan on cleaning it often....duhhh and FYI im getting my bird on the very last day of school, may 26!!!!!! WOOHOO i mean honestly, i wouldnt call my self responsible, ive had almost every pet, crabs (hermit), fire-bellied toads, african dwarf frogs, fish, dogs, mice, hamsters, chickens(lol, sounds so random), shrimp, snails, bugs, cat, guinea pig, lizard, snake(for a day, it was wild and i let it go), plants(does this count...? lol), and soon to be bird! i hope, i mean please dont judge me by saying this but honestly, after a few months i would get bored and play with it less, but thats because they bite, i mean i tried, and they never warmed up so i gave up and just fed them and stuff. BUT NOT THIS TIME!!! i will try my hardest and raise my little budgie like i have always dreamed! and since im getting it in the summer i can dedicate all my time to it! well most of it at least. lol well thanks for taking your time to read this long post!!!!
